Javier Burgos--first time marathoner taking on 26.2 miles for the FPC!

Javier Burgos is a mechanical engineer who loves saving the environment and encouraging sustainability, and so running for the Franklin Park Coalition was a natural fit.  As a career, Javier is devoted to creating sustainable, efficient and natural buildings and communities.  Encouraging use of parks and green spaces is a big part of this.  

He has lived in Cambridge, MA for nine years, and was introduced to the sport of running by his younger sister.  This is Javier's first marathon and he can't think of a better one to start with than the 2014 marathon, which will be so special to all Boston residents.  During his spare time, he also enjoys baking, volunteering, playing sports, and salsa dancing.
